Cascade Audio has introduced the VIVE surround microphone, a unique patented surround sound microphone that produces Dolby Digital 5.1 compatible surround sound recordings on any stereo video camera that has an auxiliary microphone input jack. Sold as a video accessory at B&H Photo/Video, the VIVE surround microphone mounts easily to camcorders to record in true surround sound in a single step. No external hardware, additional software or “finalizing” steps are required. A remote center channel microphone input is provided for using an additional lapel, hand held or wireless microphone to record dialog directly to the center channel. The VIVE surround microphone is compatible with all Dolby surround sound decoders.
